The Obama administration recently announced that because Tom Donilon has replaced Jim Jones as national security advisor, his deputy and successor will be Denis McDonough, a member of the President's inner circle. David Rothkopf of Foreign Policy argues that there will never be trust between the two men, because like Tony Soprano, Donilon will always be looking out for the machinations of his deputy.
